My name is Melina, and for a long time, I believed that life was something to be “conquered” through intensity and distance. As a Brazilian traveler, I always felt that existence could be more than an ordinary routine. I spent years chasing freedom across borders and through high-performance sports, only to realize that the most important journey is the one that leads us back to ourselves.
The Chapters of My Journey
Since I was young, I dreamed of exploring the world and finding a life with meaning. That dream took me through different cultures and stages:
-
The Search for Independence (Argentina): At 18, I moved to Argentina. Living abroad for the first time opened my mind and taught me that I could build a life from scratch anywhere. It was my first taste of true autonomy.
-
The Era of Intensity (USA): At 23, I moved to the United States. For years, I lived in different cities, meeting people from all over the world. This was also where I spent 12 years as a CrossFit athlete and coach. I lived at a high-intensity pace, pushing my body to the limit and learning the discipline of strength.
-
The Return to Balance (Brazil): After traveling through the USA, Argentina, and Brazil, I realized that there is no single path. My return to Brazil marked a new evolution: moving from the “grind” to intention. I began practicing Yoga and exploring sports that are not aggressive, focusing on longevity and mental health.
Why I Created Living Moments
Living Moments was born as a space to share stories, but it has evolved into a sanctuary for Conscious Living. It is more than a travel blog; it is a place about freedom, lifestyle, and finding your own pace.
I understood that freedom looks different for everyone. It can be found in a cross-country road trip, in a quiet moment of meditation, or in a career that allows you to work from anywhere in the world.
My Mission
My mission is to inspire you to explore the world and yourself in your own way. I believe that well-being is a tripod of Body, Mind, and Soul, and I want to show that every journey is valid.
-
For the Body: To show that movement should be a celebration of health, not a punishment. From my experience in high-performance to my current path in Yoga and functional wellness.
-
For the Mind: To share reflections and poems that act as a pause in a noisy world.
-
For the Soul: To encourage rituals of presence—like the simple act of lighting a candle and being truly here.
-
For the Lifestyle: To prove that a life of freedom is possible through digital nomadism, smart financial tools (like Wise and Nomad), and the courage to create your own routine.
Different Ways to Live and Travel
Many people feel they don’t fit into a “normal” life but don’t know where to start. Through this blog, I want to explore these possibilities:
-
Slow Travel: Exploring destinations with curiosity and presence, not just checking off lists.
-
The Digital Nomad Path: How to work while traveling and build a “Digital Wealthy” lifestyle.
-
Living with Less, Feeling More: Prioritizing experiences over things.
-
Pet-Friendly Exploration: Traveling the world with your best friend (like my Husky, Alaska).
