As if everyone else

\nI was somehow missing.<\/p>\n
People moving faster.
\nAchieving faster.
\nHealing faster.
\nBuilding faster.
\nBecoming faster.<\/p>\n
And quietly,
\nwithout realizing it,
\nI started measuring my worth
\nthrough comparison.<\/p>\n
The internet made it worse.<\/p>\n
A thousand lives
\nappearing complete
\nthrough small glowing screens.<\/p>\n
Everyone announcing milestones.
\nEveryone becoming something.
\nEveryone looking certain.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile,
\nI was still learning myself.<\/p>\n
Still rebuilding.
\nStill doubting.
\nStill trying to understand
\nwho I wanted to become.<\/p>\n
Modern life teaches urgency.<\/p>\n
Move faster.
\nProduce more.
\nDo more before it is too late.<\/p>\n
And eventually,
\nanxiety begins feeling normal.<\/p>\n
As if resting means falling behind.
\nAs if slowing down means failure.<\/p>\n
But lately,
\nI am learning something softer.<\/p>\n
Maybe life was never meant
\nto be rushed.<\/p>\n
Maybe growth takes the time
\nit needs because
\nhumans are not machines.<\/p>\n
The trees do not panic
\nwhen winter arrives.
\nThe ocean does not hurry
\nto reach the shore.<\/p>\n
Nature never compares itself.<\/p>\n
And maybe we were not meant to either.<\/p>\n
Some dreams take longer
\nbecause they are shaping us first.<\/p>\n
Some seasons feel slow
\nbecause something invisible
\nis still growing beneath the surface.<\/p>\n
Healing takes time.
\nTrust takes time.
\nBecoming takes time.<\/p>\n
And perhaps the deepest form of peace
\nis learning how to stop fighting
\nyour own timing.<\/p>\n
To stop treating life
\nlike a race against strangers.<\/p>\n
To stop believing
\nyou are late
\nsimply because your path
\nlooks different.<\/p>\n
I am learning
\nthat not every quiet season
\nis empty.<\/p>\n
Some are preparing me.<\/p>\n
Some are protecting me.<\/p>\n
Some are teaching me
\nhow to build a life
\nthat actually feels aligned
\ninstead of simply impressive.<\/p>\n
And maybe trust is this:<\/p>\n
continuing forward
\nwithout needing to control
\nevery chapter before it arrives.<\/p>\n
Breathing deeper.
\nMoving slower.
\nAllowing life to unfold
\nwithout forcing it constantly.<\/p>\n
Because maybe
\nI was never behind.<\/p>\n
Maybe I was simply learning
\nhow to grow
\nat my own pace.<\/p>\n
